The webpages don’t display nicely on my phone

The interface is meant for larger screens (tablets and computers). While it still works, we do not recommand you do stages 1 & 2 on a phone.

Features/Design choices

Can I be notified when there is new data for review?

This feature is not currently implemented, but it’s on the list of future improvements.

Stage 4 would be better on a standalone app.

This is on the cards, but we need significant funding to make this happen.

In stage 4, why doesn’t the webapp provide some route planning suggestion to optimally visit the candidates in the least amount of walking?

Humans are actually good at finding good solutions to the traveling salesman problem.

Plus human would be better at integrating site specific constraints.

What are the different user types’ privileges on the webapp?

See the user roles guide.

How does this app work under the hood?

This blog post gives a good overview.

Whereas this paper explains the full methodology and terminology used.

What happened to stage 3?

Stage 3, in the Anderson terminology refers to the candidate review stage where a follow-up drone is sent to take close-up pictures of a candidate.

We have found this process is quite time consuming and screen intensive. Even if the drone flies itself to the general area of the candidate, the human has to take manual control in the descent and spot where the target is to get a good shot.

In the current version, candidates that pass stage 2 go straight to stage 4.
